Holiday happenings at the library

Youngsters Courtney, Madeline, Kate, Adam, Lauren and Abby are ready to join the library’s winter programs.
The Caledon Public Library offers parents and children some special ways to celebrate this holiday season.

Join them for Jingle Babies and come prepared to sing, play and enjoy enchanting stories. This program is specifically aimed at children ages 6-18 months and will be held at the Margaret Dunn Valleywood branch Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 1:30 pm.

For active 2-3-years-olds accompanied by an adult, they will be offering Tinsel Tots. This program, packed full of Christmas stories and activities, will take place Wednesday Dec. 13, at 10:30 a.m. at the Inglewood branch and at 1:30 p.m. the Caledon Village branch. Both these programs are free drop-in programs and registration is not necessary.

For the older crowd, parents and children are invited to create enchanting holiday crafts together. Kristmas Krafts with Kris will include special stories to warm the hearts of both young and old alike. This program will be held at the Belfountain branch Wednesday Dec. 6 for ages 4-7 with a parent from 4:30-5:30 and for ages 8-12 with a parent from 6:30 –7:30. This is a free program, however, registration in advance is required as space is very limited.

No holiday season would be complete without our traditional A Night Before Christmas: PJ Storytime. Children ages 3-7 accompanied by an adult are invited to celebrate the magic of Christmas through stories and by spending time together. This free drop-in program will be offered at the Bolton branch Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 6:45 p.m.
