Students receive scholarships

The Dufferin-Peel Catholic district school board was pleased to announce 366 students across the board have received the province’s Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for Top Scholarships.

The Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top scholarship program is an Ontario government program that rewards students who graduate with top marks at their high school, and who plan to continue their studies at an Ontario college or university. Students who maintain an 80 per cent average at the post secondary level can receive these scholarships which are worth up to a maximum of $3,500 per year, for up to four years in total.

“We are very proud of the accomplishments of these students, their teachers and their schools,” said Michael Bator, director of education. “We wish them all the best in their postsecondary endeavours.”

The recipients from Robert F. Hall Catholic secondary school in Caledon East included Adeyinka Adedeji, Justin Beraldo, Ben Michael Brillantes, Stephanie Chandler, Cameron Coulter, Christian Di Poce, Kaitlyn Diduck,

Elena Gismondi, Alexandria Husband, Kevin Kasee, Jay Knox, Colin Mitchell, Stephanie Mustari, Andrew Natale, Leon Olszewski, Anna Palmieri, Laura Paterson, Karl Smith, Jedidja Van Rooij, Jeffrey Wayow and Jennalyn Wright.
