Sign variance gets approval

Valleywood West Developments Ltd. was granted a sign variance by Caledon council recently for 12489 Hurontario St.

The applicant wanted to erect a non-illuminated Vshaped ground sign on a vacant property it owns on Highway 10 immediately north of Valleywood Boulevard. The variance was required because the sign was bigger than permitted by the sign bylaw. The sign area proposed is 12 square metres (128 square feet) with a height of 3.6 metres (12 feet).

Town staff commented the variance requested is minor in nature and in keeping with the general intent of the sign bylaw.
