Christmas CD touches family hearts

What do you get for your grandparents when it seems that there’s already one of everything tucked away somewhere? Now you can share your family’s Christmas spirit with relatives - even if they are far away. A little time in the recording studio is all it takes to record and create a CD of your kids or the whole family singing Christmas songs or using one of hundreds of other karaoke tracks.

As a gift cherished for generations to come, Wayne Routledge, owner and producer at Watershed Recording Studios notes “you don’t even have to do it perfectly in one take- we can fix individual parts.” The CD can be mailed to family and friends all across the world.

“I consider it a challenge as a producer to get the best possible performance from every performer, whether they are professional, or visiting the studio for the first time. Watershed Studios specializes in songwriting instruction and teaching guitar “by ear.”

Watershed Studios has been recording and developing the musical artists of Caledon for more than eight years.

Routledge works with many up and coming “hobbyist” writers from all walks of life who use this as an outlet for their creative ambitions.

“They bring me an idea- a poem or a concept, together we explore the musical arrangements and I can add whatever instruments are needed,” he explained. As the producer of many musical artists Wayne has had songs in movies, gold records and the Snowbirds have even flown to his music. There is still time to record your CD for Christmas.
