Recycle old seasonal lights through Town's exchange

The Town of Caledon and Hydro One Networks have teamed up in their annual light exchange, this year with an emphasis on recycling.

Caledon residents are encouraged to safely recycle their old incandescent lights with the Town of Caledon. In exchange, residents who bring in at least two strings of old incandescent lights will receive a Canadian Tire $10 gift card. The recycling exchange will be held Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the upper lobby at Town Hall (6311 Old Church Road in Caledon East). Hydro One has supplied the Town of Caledon with a limited supply of gift cards, which will be distributed on a first-come basis.

This exchange event aligns with the Town's ongoing commitment to the environment, advocating community energy efficiency and the removal of old incandescent lights from the waste stream. For more information on the event, please contact Sara Peckford, environmental progress officer at 905-584- 2272, ext. 4269 or sara.peckford@caledon.ca.
