Humberview holds its holiday concert 'Winterlude'

For more than a quarter of a century the students of Humberview Music have kicked off the holiday season with a celebration of the holidays, of music, and of the incredible talent that has resulted in multiple national and international awards, invitations to performances at Disney World and a wealth of gold medals. This

year's concert, held at the Humberview School Thursday, Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m., will be no different.

Staff and students cordially invite friends, family and lovers of the arts to join them in celebration for Winterlude.

Featuring more than 200 student performers, the concert will include vocal and

instrumental jazz performance, traditional holiday fare, seasonal music from across the world and even a world drum performance. Traditional jazz standards and Latin tunes will be highlights, as well as some of those melodies you've come to expect from a holiday concert.

Tickets are $8 for the general public, $5 for students and seniors. They are available at the door, from any music student or by contacting performing arts head, John Chalmers at 905-857- 0771, ext. 505.

"We've come to expect nothing but fine performances from Humberview Music students," said noted adjudicator Colin Clark.

Please join Humberview Music Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m. for Winterlude to hear those performances in concert. Baked goods and refreshments

will be sold at intermission.
