Two minutes later it was Cody Ruff to defensive partner Tyler Symonds who fed Brandon Richard with the laser wrist shot to tally the third goal. Finishing off the second-period scoring was a play from David Rothfuchs to Nolan Pearce with the pass to J.T. Gore who chipped the puck home. Early in the third Waterloo found a bounce to foil the shutout bid of Nathan Cole who stopped 21 shots in another fine outing.
