OPP Report 1-888-310-1122 Traffic Caledon OPP officers responded to 22 property damages and two personal injury collisions during the week of Nov. 14-19. High Miler & Alcohol and Driving Tuesday, Nov. 14, at approximately 11:27 p.m., a Caledon OPP officer observed a motor vehicle travelling at an extreme high rate of speed on Mayfield Road near Airport Road in Caledon. Twenty-four-yearold Shawn Chowbay of Brampton was charged with Speeding-139 km-h in an 80 km-h posted zone as well as Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood. Court date has been set for Dec. 15. Mischief Monday, Nov. 13, sometime overnight, a vehicle rammed a steel gate of a Winston Churchill Road property gaining access to the yard. The vehicle drove through the property and then left. Monday, Nov. 13, homes under construction on Walker Road in Caledon East sustained damages caused by vandals during the night hours. A2 x 4 was used to smash windows of the house. Wednesday, Nov. 15, a vehicle's window was smashed sometime overnight while parked at a Ewart Street property in Bolton. No theft occurred. Friday, Nov. 17, door and trunk locks of a vehicle were damaged when someone attempted to break in. No entry was made into the vehicle, which was parked at a Gibson Lake Road address. A homeowner on Mount Pleasant Road also reported locks on his garage and trailer were tampered with when culprit(s) attempted to enter the building unsuccessfully. Saturday, Nov. 18, A Humber Lea Road homeowner reported arrows were shot at his vehicle, shattering one of the windows. He believes it occurred during the late afternoon hours. Damages causing two flat tires were caused to a vehicle parked at an Egan Crescent residence in Bolton during the night hours. Saturday, Nov. 4, lights on the exterior of a Queen Street business were smashed during the night hours. Sunday, Nov. 5, damage causing three flat tires occurred during the night hours to a vehicle parked at a Frank Johnston Road residence. Sunday, Nov. 5, spray paint damage was reported at St. Nicholas School as well as damage to portable staircases. The damages were caused at approximately 11 p.m. and a vehicle was seen leaving the area. Wednesday, Oct. 25, a report was made regarding damage caused to a Halloween decoration on McLaughlin Road in Inglewood. The complaint stated the damages occurred sometime between 4 and 6 p.m. on Oct. 21. Thursday, Oct. 26, three males youths were observed attempting to break in to a trailer parked on the Caledon Fairgrounds property at approximately 6 p.m. The youths were unsuccessful in gaining entry but damages were caused to a window and some tents also on the property. Thursday, Oct. 26, a vehicle was entered during the night hours while parked in a driveway on Olivers Lane in Caledon East. Nothing was reported stolen from inside the vehicle. Friday, Oct. 27, a Valleygreen Crescent homeowner in Caledon East reported a hood ornament was stolen from his vehicle. Stolen and Recovered Vehicles Wednesday, Nov. 15, a Caledon officer responding to a motor vehicle collision on King Street west of Duffy's Lane, arrived on scene to find the driver and passenger of a vehicle that had rear-ended another vehicle had both fled on foot. The involved vehicle was found to be stolen. A 16- year-old Brampton male was charged with Theft-Over $5,000, Fail to Remain at the Scene of an Accident and Drive Motor Vehicle-No Licence. The youth was held for a bail hearing Nov. 16. Monday, Nov. 6, a tractor trailer unit was stolen from a parked location on Perdue Court in Caledon sometime over the weekend. The trailer was empty when stolen. Friday, Nov. 10, a tractor and trailer were recovered abandoned on Perdue Court in Caledon. The trailer had been reported stolen to Halton Regional Police earlier in the day. The trailer when stolen contained several thousand dollars worth of cosmetics that were not recovered with the trailer. The tractor had not yet been reported stolen by the owner. Friday, Nov. 10, two trailers and a tractor that had been reported stolen to Peel Regional Police were located abandoned in a parking lot at Mayfield Road and Airport Road. Both trailers, one containing hardwood flooring and the other containing electronics, were located with their cargo in tact. Thursday, Oct. 26, a stolen vehicle was recovered abandoned in the Forks of the Credit Provincial Park. The vehicle had been previously reported stolen from Peel Regional Police jurisdiction. The driver's side window and windshield had been smashed as well as damages caused to the passenger side door handle. Thursday, Oct. 12, a business on Parr Blvd. in Caledon reports a trailer containing three snowmobiles were stolen from a locked yard. The theft occurred sometime overnight. Saturday, Oct. 14, a vehicle was reported stolen from a Hilltop Road residence sometime overnight. The vehicle was located in a parking lot on Martha Street in Bolton. The ignition had been punched. Theft Monday, Nov. 13, 42- year-old Scott Eldridge of Barrie was charged with Theft-Under $5,000 following an investigation of missing cash and merchandise at a retail business on McEwan Drive in Bolton. Court date has been set for Jan. 8. Monday, Nov. 13, a vehicle was entered while parked overnight at a Robert Carson Drive residence in Caledon East. Change as well as CDs were stolen from the vehicle. Tuesday, Nov. 14, a window of a vehicle was smashed while the vehicle was parked in a retail business parking lot on McEwan Drive in Bolton. A briefcase has been reported stolen. Saturday, Nov. 18, an unlocked vehicle on Country Stroll Crescent was entered during the night hours. Personal identification has been reported stolen. Another vehicle parked at a Country Stroll Crescent home was entered sometime overnight. Papers have been reported stolen from that vehicle. Saturday, Nov. 18, a vehicle parked on Rolling Hills Lane was entered overnight. Reported missing are several CDs, cartons of cigarettes and some gifts. Thursday, Nov. 9, Caledon officers arrested two individuals following an investigation into a report of theft from a motor vehicle which occurred earlier that same day in the area of Shore Lane in Bolton. Twenty-five-year-old Jason Teixeira of Caledon was charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime-Under $5,000 and Theft-Under $5,000. He will appear in court Dec. 7. Twenty-two-year-old Trena Parsons of Caledon was charged with Theft-Under $5,000 (x2) and will appear in court Dec. 14. |
