Kelly Darnley, who challenged Annette Groves for the Ward 5 regional council seat, earning 1,248 votes (27.3%), said she has no regrets and no negative feelings about the campaign. She prefers to concentrate on the positive, noting it was an honour to be part of the process. She's encouraged that the number of voters was up this year.
