An evening of wine and food supports Headwaters hospital

Howard the Butcher's Meats and Deli, a gourmet food market located in Caledon East, will host an evening of wine tasting and food paring from 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30, featuring wines paired with a variety of meats, cheeses, breads and desserts. The minimum suggested donation is $20 per person with all proceeds donated to Headwaters Health Care Centre.

This event is a great opportunity to sample a number of specialty foods and wines while supporting Headwaters Health Care Centre.

The proceeds of this evening will be directed towards the purchase of new equipment for Headwaters. This equipment will support patient care in every area of the hospital including surgery, women and children's health, cancer treatment, dialysis and complex continuing care.

Because the government does not provide funding for most hospital equipment purchases, on an ongoing basis, Headwaters Health Care Foundation relies on the generosity of individual donors, community groups, service clubs, corporate partners and fund-raising volunteers to raise more than $1 million each year to meet the hospital's clinical equipment needs.
