Roth Hawks down the Rangers

Roth Diamond Tools AE minor bantam Hawks forayed to Kitchener Nov. 6 to face the Rangers. With the shortbench and some questionable calls against them the Hawks took the early lead off a blistering shot from Brandon Richard unassisted.

The Rangers played hard and notched two first period goals. The Hawks took the play to Kitchener in the second and were rewarded late when Tyler Symonds labelled a point shot off the feed from Giancarlo Cianflocca and Michael Magliocchi. The Rangers counted a go-ahead marker with 3:53 remaining in the game which set the stage for the game equalizing goal by Tyler Symonds on a rush with assists from Cameron Miller and Nolan Pearce. The Hawks set wing for home with a 3-3 tie in front of Nathan Cole.

Thursday, Nov. 9 the Caledon crew hosted nemesis Georgetown who had squeezed out two wins earlier this year against our guys. Alessandro Ristucci returned to Mayfield with his rebuilt "bionic leg" and fired up the boys. Leading the Hawks with the first goal one minute in was J.T. Gore assisted by James Harkins and Ryan Rausch. Mid period Giancarlo Cianflocca hit paydirt assisted by Brandon Richard. Early in the second Michael Magliocchi circled the net and delivered the perfect feed to Cam Miller who notched the third goal. This was followed by James Harkins assisted by linemates Ryan Rausch and J.T. Gore. Mid period an impressive shift rewarded Magliocchi with a top corner goal fed from Christian Bonaldi.

Eleven secondes later Bonaldi pounded one home with the tick tac toe from Miller and "Mags" Magliocchi. George town spoiled Marco Chiechi's shutout with a late goal.

In the third the onslaught continued with Gore scoring again with help from

Harkins. Two minutes later captain Gore snagged the hat trick with assistance from Ryan Rausch. Finishing the scoring was the digger Rausch with the assist and fifth point of the night from Gore. Mark the final 9-1 as the Hawks have recovered their early season form outshooting the Raiders 52-20. Go Hawks!
