Caledon Townhall Players' fund-raiser

Staff at Hooters in Brampton and supporters of Caledon Townhall Players teamed up recently for a fund-raising and it was a great day. The community showed up and supported the cause and this unlikely partnership was a hit.

October 21 will go down in the history of CTHP, as a day of greatness. Combining the strengths of Brampton citizens and the gentleness of a great bit of nice weather. Soda was unloaded, chips were stacked, chicken dogs cooked, signs and banners

unfurled. Volunteers braved the elements. People gave to the max and everyone had a great time. Drivers pulled in to get some lunch. Tow trucks came in to get a bite. Taxis and big rigs tooted their support. Brampton firefighters showed up to lend their appetites and good spirits to our join cause. In a demonstration of what it means to be a part of something the people of Brampton came, ate, laughed and photographed the event.

In all Caledon Townhall Players raised just over $1,000. A good corporate company in Brampton, Hooters restaurants raise and donate money to many charities, including money for local and national charities such as the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research, Make-A-Wish Foundation, the U.S.O., Special Olympics, American Diabetes Association, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and Muscular Dystrophy Association. Since 1992, HOO.C.E.F. has raised more than $8 million for these and other worthwhile organizations. Thank you Hooters and thank you Brampton!
