Please vote Nov. 13! This letter to the editor is to cajole, beg, plead and, perhaps, embarrass you, the residents of Caledon, into voting for the candidates of your choice Monday, Nov. 13. This election is more important than ever because we will have these representatives for the next four years instead of three. Nobody has the right to complain about any issue or politician in this town unless you put your Xs beside the names of your choice. Become educated about the various candidates and their stands on the important issues. Young people, take pride in the fact that you can now have an input on the composition of your council. Women, get out there and vote. We fought long and hard to achieve this right and privilege in 1918 in Canada. Voting is so important in many nations of this world that have been denied this right for many years that they will face the real possibility of death to enter the voting booth. Please take a few moments from your busy lives to exert your right and privilege to vote. We need a diverse group sitting on council for the next four years. We do not need a vast majority of our council only becoming empassioned when their own special interests are threatened. Paddy Running-Horan Caledon |
