GREAT SEASON FOR SPARLING
Caledon's Amelia Sparling currently belongs to the Burloak Canoe/Kayak Club in Oakville, where she is coached

by former Olympian Dean Oldershaw. At the 2006 provincial championships for sprint kayak & canoe in Ottawa,

Amelia won 2 golds and a silver for Canoe (C2, C4, C15), and in Kayak as a 1st year midget won silver in her K1

competition. Amelia attends Humberview School and is a member of the school swim team, and the girls' hockey

team.
