For nearly 19 years, the Caledon Parent-Child Centre/Ontario Early Years Centre (CPCC/OEYC) has been proudly serving the families and children of Caledon, providing children's early learning, parenting education and family support services. Since its early days, a vital service has been their mobile outreach unit, a modified van used to transport toys, resources, program supplies and staff to the many rural communities in Caledon.
You can find staff delivering programs in rented space throughout Caledon five days a week at six different locations including Caledon East, Caledon Village, Mono Mills, Alton, Cheltenham and Valleywood. Services and programs are free of charge to anyone caring for a young child. Programs include a family time/dropin offering children's early learning activities, socialization, parenting support and resources. For a listing of rural van sites, please visit their Web site at www.cp-cc.org or call them at 905-857-0090.
The CPCC/OEYC is a charitable non-profit organization in operation since 1987 responding to the needs of Caledon families, made possible through government grants, community support and donations. In addition to the rural van sites, the CPCC/OEYC has a main location in Bolton and a satellite site in Cheltenham. The centre works in collaboration with other
agencies, organizations and individuals, who deal with children and families, and acts as a bridge between various services.
The CPCC/OEYC wishes to thank the Ministry of Children & Youth Services and the Region of Peel for their support in the provision of these services to rural Caledon. Special thanks to Bob Fines from Fines Ford for his financial contributions towards the van graphics.
