Why isn't library open?

A friend and supporter phoned me to advise that her daughter had to access the Internet one recent weekend when she was home from university. To her amazement our local Bolton Library isn't open on Sundays until mid-October! As well, the Bolton Library

is the only library that is open in Caledon on Sundays, from mid-October to mid- May.

My friend states that there were lineups at the entranceway. Her daughter had to go looking for an Internet café, or else find a library in the GTAso that she could access the Web. Her daughter had to get important information from the Web regarding her course schedules and other pertinent data.

This is just another example of Bolton residents having to go outside our town to access services that should be covered by our tax dollars. After all, not everyone can afford to have computer access in the home.

Therefore the Town council has a responsibility to ensure that the facility is open for our students returning to school in September.
