Caledon Townhall present 'Tribute'
The players first produc- tion of the season is under- way now at the old town hall theatre in Caledon Village. The show which ran on Broadway in the late '70s and starred Jack Lemmon was a smash hit by Bernard Slade author of such hits as Fatal Attraction and Same Time Next Year.

Douglas Maund as Lou (CTHP Best Actor Award), Kathryn Delory as Gladys, Angie Sapalovski as Hilary (Act-Co Best Director Award), Laura Maund as Maggie (CTHP Best Supporting Actress Award), Dale Pringle as Scottie (two time Winner of Act-Co Best Actor Award, introducing Derek Nielsen as Jud and Karen Knox as Sally, appear Tribute.
The story centres on Scottie Morrison, a charming and entertaining man: a loveable rascal whose life is continuous hilarity until he learns that he has been diagnosed with leukemia. Given only a short time to live unless he undergoes treatment Scottie must come to grips with this as well as reconciling with his alienated son. The humour mixed with pathos as Scottie deals with this makes for a highly entertaining and amusing evening of theatre despite the seriousness of the topic involved.

The show is directed by Denis Stephenson, two-time winner of CTHP's Best Director Award and a Best Director nominee of the Association of Community Theatre's, (ACT-CO), competition and stars Dale Pringle a well known performer for CTHP, (No Sex Please We're British, Caught In the Net) who himself is a two time winner of ACTCO's Best Actor award. Award-winning actors Laura Maund as Scottie's ex-wife Maggie, Doug Maund as his friend Lou Daniels and

Angie Sapalovski as Hillary bring strength to this topnotch cast. Newcomer to Caledon, Kathryn DeLory, will delight audience members with her standout performance as Dr. Gladys Petrelli and the cast is rounded out by Karen Knox as Sally Haines and Derek Nielsen as Scottie's son Jud. These two high school students bring a depth of maturity and skill to their performances that augers well for their future endeavours in theatre.

Tribute requires a sophisticated level of lighting and special effects which will please audiences and the show opened Oct. 26 and runs through Saturday, Nov. 11.
