Caledon Karate holds fall grading at community centre

"Confidence, Concentration, Character, Life Skill." These are some of the benefits derived from practicing karate locally at the Caledon Karate dojo located at the Albion Bolton Community Centre. Wednesday, Oct. 4, Caledon Karate held its fall grading where 52 examinees attempted for their next belt levels. Five participants attempted for their black belts. On hand as the examiner was Master Frank Woon-A-Tai, 7th Degree black belt and chairman of the Japan Karate Association World Federation of Canada. Sensei Woon-A-Tai is also the Canadian coach and his most recent achievement was a bronze medal in the team pattern event at the World JKA Championships held this past August in Sydney, Australia. Caledon Karate was established in 1991 and its mission is to provide the residents of the Town of Caledon with superior karate services in a family oriented and recreational environment. Programs include karate Kids, adult and family classes. The style is JKA Shotokan karate which can be described as a traditional art form. Contact Vincenzo Mazzei at 416-723-8257.
