Council's final meeting
By ALAN LICZYK Staff Reporter

Departing councillors Jim Wallace and David Lyons were each presented a gift by Caledon council at the final council meeting of the term, Oct. 10, in recognition of their contribution. The paintings were done by artist Cory Trepanier.
It was time to reminisce as Caledon council held the final meeting of its threeyear term recently.

Mayor Marolyn Morrison praised the contributions made by councillors David Lyons and Jim Wallace who have decided not to seek reelection.

She also presented them each a painting done by local artist Cory Trepanier.

"It's certainly been a pleasure to work with council and staff," Lyons said. "I've enjoyed my time here."

He added they haven't always agreed but that's democracy in action.

"It has been a pleasure," Wallace said. "It's been a fast three years."

He also commented they can feel proud of how they handled their community.

Morrison also praised the efforts of Town staff.

"You do make it happen for us," she said.

She added council has made this a successful threeyear term.

"We've accomplished so much in this term," she said. "I think it's been a very successful three years."
