Bantam Blackhawks down foes

For months now rumors have been circulating of a secret training camp tucked away in the hills of Caledon. Those rumors were confirmed when the Caledon minor bantam select Blackhawks took to the ice and destroyed the Brampton Snipers 5 - 2.

The constant training and comradery that has developed between these boys has truly made them a forced to be feared. The Red Brigade opened the scoring early in the first when Damian Commisso converted a nice give-and-go play between Vincent Maiolino and Christopher Rotondo for the Hawks' first goal.

Second period action saw Warren Stroud drill the rubber past a bewildered Brampton netminder with assists going to Harry Gaebler and Anthony Gasbarre. Shortly thereafter Justin "The Jackhammer" Lollino pounded the cage on a nice feed from linemates Michael Bellisario and Joseph Dimarco to make the game 3-2.

The third period saw a devastating barrage of shots as the Blackhawks continued their crushing onslaught against a confused Sniper squad. Picking the puck up at centre ice Maiolino carried it over the Brampton blue line and found the tape on Bellisario's stick. Not one to waste time Bellisario let go a boomer to put the Hawks up 4-2.

Earning his third assist of the game Maiolino took a pass from Zachary Moszynski and closed the office door with a nice feed to Gaebler creeping in from the blue line for the Blackhawks' 5th and final goal.
