Roth Hawks earn shutout against Rangers October 12 found Roth Diamond Tools minor bantam AE Hawks home at Mayfield to face the feisty Oakville Rangers. The Hawks started quickly outshooting the Rangers 10-1 in the first with Brandon Richard finding the range half-way in from James Harkins and J.T Gore. Thirty seconds later this imposing trio combined again for the second marker with Richard again providing the finish. In the second the Hawks maintained the pressure enjoying the shot edge 15-7 and counting the only goal by Giancarlo Cianflocca with help from Tyler Symonds. In the third it was all Hawks with the shots 17-2. Finding the mesh early was Cianflocca with the set up from Alessandro Ristucci and Michael Magiocchi. At the 10-minute mark the "G Man" tallied the hat trick with the assist from captain J.T. Gore. Finishing the Rangers off was Christian Bonaldi with a roof job off the fine feed from Brandon Richard and Alessandro Ristucci. Marco Chiechi counted his third consecutive win and first shutout of the year. Standing strong in front of Marco was the defensive core Tyler Symonds, David Rothfuchs, Cody Ruff, Nolan Pearce and Michael Magliocchi. Oct. 14, the Caledon crew made the journey out to Stratford. No Shakespearian tragedy for our lads on this night as they ripped into the first period with the wheels still turning. Brandon Richard pounded a high slapshot passed the stunned keeper at 8:36 assisted by Cody Ruff and Chris Scrivo. Two minutes later it was Giancarlo Cianflocca depositing one with the set up from Cameron Miller and James Harkins. Keeping the pace up with goal number three was Alessandro Ristucci with the feed from Nolan Pearce. J.T. Gore capped a goal assisted by Ristucci and Christian Bonaldi at 1:08. As the first period wound down it was "The Moose" Tyler Symonds finding twine with a fine point shot assisted by Cam Miller and David Rothfuchs. The assault continued in the second with Brandon Richard again starting things off with help from Cianflocca and J.T. Gore. Then it was Gore's turn to shine with a highlight reel goal off the feed from Miller. Ristucci notched his second of the game from Gore and Bonaldi. Then the Bolton rocket Brandon Richard pounded in another for his hat trick assisted by Symonds. Remarkably Stratford found some life with a late goal and two more in the third although they were outshot 25-12 in the final frame. Giancarlo finished the affair with the Hawks' 10th goal assisted by Gore and Richard. Nathan Cole counted the win between the Hawks pipes. Keep rolling Hawks! |
