Plants seized at local grow-op

Tuesday, Oct. 10 at approximately 12:19 p.m. members of the Caledon H.E.A.T. team, Caledon Crime Unit, Caledon Community Response Unit (CRU) and OPP Highway Safety Divisional-ERT members executed a drug warrant for a marihuana grow operation at 13538 Mississauga Road in Caledon.

As a result of the warrant, 18 marihuana plants were seized from an outdoor grow as well as a large quantity of dried marihuana. Total value of the seizure was $235,000.

Two Caledon residents were arrested and charged. F o r t y - e i g h t - y e a r- o l d Michael Frank and 42- year-old Sherri Frank have both been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marihuana, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Production of Marihuana. Court date for both has been set for Nov. 6.
