Teens charged with trafficking after vehicle stop Traffic Caledon OPP Officers responded to 16 property damage and five personal injury collisions during the week of Oct. 2-9. Sadly, there was one fatality. High Miler of the Week Wednesday, Oct. 4 at approximately 10:15 p.m., a Caledon OPP officer observed a motor vehicle traveling at an extreme high rate of speed on Charleston Sideroad near Willoughby Road in Caledon. Twentyyear old Jeremy Bryan of Guelph was charged with Speeding-163 km-h in an 80-km-h posted zone. A court date for the 83-km-h over charge has been set for Nov. 16. Alcohol & Driving Saturday, Oct. 7, 20-yearold Kristopher Pothof of Caledon was charged with Impaired Care & Control of a Motor Vehicle and Care & Control of a Motor Vehicle- Over 80 mgs. of Alcohol in 100 mls. of Blood. Police located the vehicle on Riverwood Terrace in Bolton. Court date has been set for Nov. 9. Break & Enter Saturday, Oct. 7, a school on Landsbridge Street in Bolton was entered through a window. Items were scattered about the classroom however nothing has been reported stolen. Drugs Friday, Oct. 6, a vehicle stop on Healey Road near Holland Drive in Bolton resulted in the arrest of three Caledon males. Eighteenyear old Tyler Rogers was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance- Marihuana, Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime - Over $5,000, Possess Illegal Licence and Person Under 19 years of age Consuming Liquor. He has been given a court date of Nov. 6. Two 17-year-old youths have also been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance- Marihuana, Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime - Over $5,000 and Persons Under 19 years of age Consuming Liquor. Both youths will appear in court Nov. 6. Mischief Monday, Oct. 2, reports were received of rocks being thrown at vehicles while travelling near Cedargrove Crescent in Bolton. Monday, Oct. 2, two separate reports for rocks being thrown at vehicles were reported by drivers travelling in the area east of Highway 10 on Charleston Sideroad in Caledon Village in the early evening hours. Tuesday, Oct. 3, another driver reported a rock thrown at their vehicle while travelling on Charleston Sideroad near Highway 10 in the early evening. Thursday, Oct. 5 in the same area, Charleston Sideroad near Highway 10, a report was received of a rock being thrown at a vehicle. Wednesday, Oct. 4, a Kennedy Road property owner reported damages to grass and a garden caused by unknown youths on an ATV who had entered the property in the late afternoon. Sunday, Oct. 8, a report was made to police regarding eggs being thrown at vehicles in the area of Birch Avenue and Regional Road 50 in Palgrave. Stolen and Recovered Vehicles Wednesday, Oct. 4, sometime during the night hours, a locked pickup truck was stolen from a Waterbury Street residential driveway in Bolton. Theft Wednesday, Oct. 4, two vehicles parked at a Bradwick Court residence in Valleywood were entered and the stereo from one vehicle was stolen. Another vehicle on Aspenwood Trail was also entered and two cell phones were stolen. Wednesday, Oct. 4, following up on a report of two men observed stealing a newspaper box from the area of Kingsview Drive and Humberlea Road in Bolton, police stopped a van a short distance away. Two males were arrested and charged with Theft-Under. Twentyyear old Eric Palumbo of Caledon and 20-year old Christopher Henderson of Caledon will both appear in court Nov. 2 to answer to this charge. Wednesday, Oct. 4, a vehicle parked at a Livingston Drive residence in the Valleywood area was entered during the night hours. A quantity of CDs, sunglasses, a motorcycle helmet and jacket were stolen from the vehicle. A second vehicle on the same street was also reported entered, however, nothing was reported missing. Wednesday, Oct. 4, a vehicle parked during the evening hours on the roadside of Longwood Drive in Bolton was entered by unknown culprit(s). A backpack and a purse that was left on the front passenger seat were stolen from the vehicle. Friday, Oct. 6, lumber was reported stolen from a building site on Highway 9. The theft occurred sometime overnight. Sunday, Oct. 8, two males entered a gas station on Regional Road 50 in Bolton. While one male distracted the clerk, the other entered an unlocked storage room and stole a quantity of cigarettes. Both men left in a vehicle. |
