Auditions for Anne of Green Gables

Brampton Music Theatre is holding auditions for Anne of Green Gables.

Artistic Director-choreographer is Michael MacLennan; music director is Paul Pacanowski and executive producer is Susan Doyle.

Callbacks will be made Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. at Greenbriar Recreational Centre, 1100 Central Park Dr., (north of Queen and east of Bramalea Rd.) Brampton.

The requirements for the audition will be one song of your choice, sheet music or karaoke CD without vocals on them. No monologues required, but you may be asked to do a cold read from the script. There will be a separation in movement calls so that those people who are not dancers will not be intimidated. There will be a movement call and a dance call of about 45 minutes each. The movement calls will be the day of callbacks.

Anne rehearsals begin Sunday, Dec. 12 and run Tuesdays 7-10 p.m., Wednesdays 7-10 p.m. and Sundays 1-4 p.m. until Feb. 4. From Feb. 4 onward the rehearsals will be Sundays 6:30-9:30 p.m., Mondays 7- 10 p.m. and Thursdays 7-10 p.m.

Performances will take place March 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. with a March 10 matinee at 2 p.m. and a student matinee March 7 at 11.
