Two drivers in same vehicle charged with impaired

Caledon OPP Officers responded to 12 property damage and four personal injury collisions during the week of Sept. 25 to Oct. 1.

Alcohol & Driving

Friday, Sept. 29, a traffic stop on Downey Drive resulted in an arrest of the driver, 21-year-old Sean Mara of Brampton. He has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood and will appear in court Nov. 2.

Friday, Sept. 29, officers were alerted by a motorist of a possible drunk driver on Regional Road 50 in Bolton. The vehicle was observed entering a parking lot at which time the female driver and female passenger switched positions in the vehicle. Police arrested both the driver and passenger. Forty-four-year-old Carol McFadyen of Mississauga was charged with Impaired Driving, Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood, Drive Motor Vehicle- No License and Drive Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor. Forty-five-yearold Holly Annis of Alliston was charged with Failure to Provide Breath Sample, Driving While Under Suspension and Drive Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor. Both women were given a court date of Nov. 2.

Saturday, Sept. 30, a traffic stop at The Grange Side road and St. Andrew's Road resulted in charges for the driver. Twenty-five-year-old Rohit Bhatti of Mississauga was charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood. Court date has been set for Oct. 26.

Sunday, Oct. 1, a tip from a motorist led to the arrest of a driver at a gas station on

Queen Street in Bolton. Twenty-five-year-old Ali Ghazanfar of Markham was charged with Impaired Care & Control of a Motor Vehicle, Care & Control of a Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood and Fail to Comply with Recognizance. He will appear in court Nov. 2.

Sunday, Oct. 1, 44-yearold Ledene Kublick of Caledon was arrested and charged at a Mount Wolfe Road home after reports of the vehicle leaving a bar in Tottenham and hitting another vehicle in the process. She has been charged with Impaired Driving, Failure to Provide a Breath Sample, Fail to Remain at the Scene of a Collision, Assault Police Officer (x2) and Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest (x2). She will appear in court Oct. 26.

Break & Enter

Monday, Sept. 25, a computer and monitor were stolen from a Mayfield Road business sometime between Sunday noon and Monday morning. The culprit(s) had entered through an unlocked door.

Tuesday, Sept. 26, a home under construction on St. Andrew's Road was entered during the night hours by breaking down the front door. Several new appliances were stolen from the home.

Tuesday, Sept. 26, during the afternoon hours, a glass window of a door was smashed to gain entry in to a home on Old School Road. A plasma TV has been reported stolen.

Tuesday, Sept. 26, a home on Leavens Court was entered during the evening hours. Keys to the home were in the front door lock, possibly allowing culprit(s) entry to the home. Jewellery and cash were stolen from the home.

Friday, Sept. 29, sometime overnight, a rear door of a vacant home on Airport Road was kicked in. Copper piping, which was still connected to the home, was ripped out leaving behind damages from gushing water. Two toilets, kitchen sink and light fixtures were also removed from the building.

Drugs

Wednesday, Sept. 27, officers attended a park on Kingsview Drive across from Humberview in response to a complaint of youth smoking drugs. The officers located several youths at that location. A 15-

year-old Caledon male was arrested and charged with Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking. A court date has been set for Nov. 6.

Friday, Sept. 29, Caledon OPP officers received information regarding an adult male who had pitched a tent on the Trailway near Caledon East. The male was located and subsequently arrested. Twenty-one-yearold Ronald Gagne of Cambridge has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance- Marihuana, Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime-Over $5,000 (x6), Possession of Property Obtained by Crime-Under $5,000 (x2) and Breach of Probation. He was held for a bail hearing Sept. 30.

Stolen and

Recovered Vehicles

Tuesday, Sept. 26, a car that had been parked with doors locked was stolen from a Hanton Court driveway sometime overnight.

Wednesday, Sept. 27, residents on Glenn Court, located off Airport Road south of Mono Mills, reported a suspicious male in a vehicle that had been parked on the roadside for most of the afternoon. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle and male. The vehicle had been stolen from Peel Regional Police jurisdiction and the male was subsequently arrested and charged. Twenty-four year old, Jonathan Skinner of Innisfil was charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime-Over $5,000 and Breach of Probation (x2). He was held for a bail hearing Oct. 2.

Wednesday, Sept. 27, a trailer unit that was used for storage was stolen when a tractor was backed in to a business lot on George Bolton Parkway at approximately 6 a.m. The tractor was hooked up to the trailer and removed from its parked location. The trailer was loaded with cedar strips of wood, light fixtures, wire, fuses and an assortment of vehicle tires.

Friday, Sept. 29, during the night hours, a van was stolen from the driveway of a McCabe Crescent home in Bolton. A second vehicle in the driveway was entered but not stolen.

Theft

Friday, Sept. 29, three vehicles parked at a Kingsview Drive home were entered during the night hours. All three vehicles were left unlocked and were rummaged through. A Sony PlayStation system and an assortment of approximately 15 games were stolen from one of the vehicles.

Friday, Sept. 29, a passenger side window of a vehicle was smashed while the vehicle was left parked overnight on the driveway of an Egan Crescent home. A purse has been reported stolen from the vehicle.

Sunday, Oct. 1, a log splitter was stolen from a field on Highway 10 sometime overnight.

Domestic Disputes

Caledon OPP officers responded to three domestic disputes between Sept. 26 and Oct. 1. Acharge was laid in Bolton Sept. 28.
