Get spooked at Downey's Farm Market

Downey's Farm Market is anxiously awaiting a slightly spooky start to their ghoulishly exciting 2006 PumpkinFest season.

Open weekends through Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Downey's Farm Market entertains the young and young at heart with their spook-tacular annual Halloween festival. Downey's PumpkinFest 2006 is the ultimate family Halloween outing.

There is lots to see and do at PumpkinFest. Come get dizzy in the Black Hole, and visit the new and improved children's Boo-Barn. the kids will want to join in the fun and get their faces painted, or decorate a pumpkin to take home. Everyone needs to visit his or her favourite farm animal in the Krittern Corral. enjoy unlimited wagon rides and come rattle along with the Bare Bones Band, the animated skeleton jamboree. Introduce your kids to Downey's own kids - see the goats climb to feeding stations on Ontario's largest goatwalk. Let the little ones tackle the three inflatables or try to get lost in the eight-acre corn maze.

When the munchies start to attack, tame your hunger

with a visit to Downey's Bakery for one fo their famous pumpkin doughnuts and other Halloween treats.

There is lots of entertainment planned for this year. Entertainers are Magic with Dick Joiner Oct. 14/15; The Ben Show Oct. 20/21 and Abracadabra Oct. 28/29.

Admission is $8 per person or $35 for a family of five. Downey's is located at 13682 Heart Lake Road, just south of King.
