Wild leads pack of new Disney releases
By Mark Pavilons Editor

From a popular TV series to animated animals, Disney and Buena Vista offer a trove of family viewing treasures.

Mystic Force: Dark Wish -

The Blockbuster

Kids can't get enough of Power Rangers, a phenomenon that has lasted for years. The latest installment, Power Rangers: Mystic Force: Dark Wish - The Blockbuster, pits five teens against evil to fulfill their destiny as powerful warriors. Wicked, funny and lots of action.

The Wild

The new genre of animated animal movies keep making young and old laugh out loud. The Wild is no exception. The amazing animation is complemented by a star-studded cast of voices - Kiefer Sutherland (Samson), Jim Belushi (Benny), Janeane Garofalo (Bridget), Richard Kind (Larry), William Shatner (Kazar), Patrick Warburton (Blag) and Eddie Izzard (koala).

Director Steve Williams helped pioneer CG character animation through his work on films such as the Abyss and Jurassic Park.

It's a great story with some unforgettable scenes. It's obvious the actors had a lot of fun with their roles and you should too, by watching this tale.

Twitches

For the older kids comes the Disney Channel original movie, Twitches, starring twins Tia and Tamera Mowry (Sister, Sister). It's a story about two separated twin witches who, once reunited, use their powers for good. Twitches is the 2nd highest rated Disney Channel original movie premier in the past four years, topped by High School Musical released earlier this year. It's a very good and heart-warming story.

Stick It

Your teens will enjoy Stick It, a comedy with attitude. Jeff Bridges plays the no-nonsense coach, leading the defiant Haley Graham (Missy Peregrym). Great soundtrack and solid gymnastics action.

Goal! The Dream Begins

Adding to an incredible World Cup Soccer year is Goal! The Dream Begins. This inspirational tale of professional soccer follows a young immigrant who tries out for Newcastle United. A great story about an underdog.

Stay Alive

If you've ever feared that your video game will come alive and hunt you down, Stay Alive is for you. A cast of young actors try to avoid being caught by the Blood Countess, a video game villain who crosses over to test players' abilities. Not for the timid.
