Canada Post extends redirection

Canada Post implemented urban coding for 12,109 identified customers in Caledon and North Brampton Oct. 17, 2005. Since this time, complimentary mail redirection has been in place to assist customers with this address change.

To further support our customers during the upcoming holiday period, Canada Post will extend complimentary mail redirection until Jan. 31, 2007.

"We are striving to work with the community during this busy time. The extension of complimentary mail redirection is a reflection of our flexibility and commitment to improving customer service," said Jim Gilbert, director, delivery and retail operations West GTA, Canada Post Corporation.

Canada Post thanks those customers who have already notified their personal and business correspondents of their new urban coded address, and encourages remaining customers to do so prior to the extended deadline.

As part of ongoing communication, a letter advising of this extension will be delivered to identified customers and the dedicated 1-866-495-5056 line updated.

Customers are encouraged to contact Canada Post through a variety of communications channels including the dedicated toll-free line, via their customer service general line at 1-800-267- 1177, visiting their Web site, www.canadapost.ca or by speaking with retail staff at a local post office.
