Thank you residents week

The week of Oct. 8-14 was recently proclaimed Thank You Caledon Residents Week by Caledon council to collectively recognize the deeds of civicminded residents and the thoughtfulness that motivates them.

Council deemed this to be an annual recognition during the week of Thanksgiving.

In its resolution, council noted some residents take it upon themselves to remove snow and ice from a culvert and improve the drainage, to collect litter in front of their properties and the properties of others, to mow their boulevard, to re-erect downed mailboxes and undertake many other deeds too numerous to list.

Council and staff understand most of these unsung heroes don't want to be singled out for recognition.
