Green fund allocations

Caledon council unanimously authorized the allocation of $4,450 from the Community Green Fund to two groups recently.

The James Bolton public school council will receive $3,750 in support of "Greening the School Yard: Developing Outdoor Learning Centres and Connecting the Classroom to the Environment."

COOL Caledon will receive $700 to cover Web hosting fees for www.coolcaledon.org.

James Bolton requested the maximum amount of project funding, $5,000, and COOL Caledon requested the maximum amount of fast track funding, $1,000. Since only $5,250 remained in the Community Green Fund, the Town's environment committee couldn't recommend full funding to both projects.
