October "shell out" at the Caledon seniors' centre
By Lloyd Bittle

October brings a wealth of harvest and good times. We predict a beautiful fall for all at the centre. Join us for "Halloween shell-outs" galore.

Our operating year date has now changed to April. Our president and executive will remain in office until April 2007. This reconciles our operating and financial year ends avoiding executive terms of office and financial year-end overlaps. They are the same.

Schools are well under way, birds are flocking heading south and for many sad pool and cottage closings are finished or well under way. Take a break and join us at the centre for our great fall happenings. Our annual bake, craft and goodies sale Saturday, Oct. 14 is a tremendous Caledon and beyond event supporting our centre's financial obligations. We thank all the volunteers and contributors and you the participants who will make it so.

Our annual members meeting held Sept. 24 reviewed our excellent year to date position and approved the April year-end and current president and executive continuation to April 2007. Our financial and operative year will be April 2007 to April 2008. There will be no semiannual meetings unless called by the board of directors.

Next year will be our expansion consolidation year. Architectural plans defined for what we want, our business plan defined and the funding program under way. Don and Claudette Dalgleish chair our fund-raising committee. They welcome and will require our centre's full support. We look to our 15th anniversary celebration of

welcome to you in our new multi-activity "play place" for all. A Caledon senior active adult expanded facility. All roads lead to our expanded bigger and better centre to serve you. Yes! "Build it and you and they will come." CSAC 2010 here we come. Be a Caledon senior active adult centre booster!
