Tourney boosts heritage foundation

The 2006 Caledon Council Charity Golf Tournament this year will donate part of the funds raised to the newlyformed Caledon Heritage Foundation.

"This is absolutely a major kick-start to our fundraising efforts, and I am very pleased" said Andy Priede, chair of the foundation. This not-for-profit charitable organization is the primary fund-raising and administrative body for special heritage projects such as the new Designated Heritage Property Grant Program and the proposed reconstruction of the 1845 Kerr log house.

The tournament takes place Tuesday, Oct. 3 at Osprey Valley Resorts in Alton. Registration is from 8:30 to 10 a.m. with the shotgun start at 10 a.m. Tickets are $175 per person, which includes green fees, power cart, driving range, bag drop, breakfast, cocktail reception, dinner and prizes. All monies raised go towards various charities within Caledon.

To register contact Shannon Duggan at 905 584-2272 ext. 4014 or shannon.duggan@caledon.ca.
