Palgrave's turkey dinner

You know fall is upon us when the children go back to school, the leaves change colour, and the fall church dinners begin. The annual turkey dinner at Palgrave United Church always draws a good crowd. This year's event will be held Thursday, Oct. 5. The church is now wheelchair

accessible and guests start arriving at 4 p.m. for the dinner which begins at 4:30 p.m. and goes continuously until 7 p.m. or whenever the last person is fed.

The entire congregation works to make this a special event and upwards of 400 people are expected to enjoy turkey with all the trimmings including hot vegetables, home made beets, cranberries, stuffing and lots and lots of pies made by the famous bakers in the church congregation. The dinner is buffet style with beverages and desserts served at the table. Take-out meals are also available. Tickets are $14 for adults, $6 for children ages 6 10, and just $1 for preschoolers. No advance tickets but no one will be turned away.

There will be music to entertain guests waiting to be seated. Make plans to celebrate Thanksgiving without all the work and

join the friendly folk at Palgrave United Church. Directory
