Contract for fleet

The contract to supply one single axle two ton truck was awarded by Caledon council recently to Freightliner MidOntario Inc. for $53,750.

The truck will be used by the public works department to maintain roadside signs. The purchase of this diesel equipment will allow the Town to work towards reducing its greenhouse gas emissions reduction target by switching from a gasoline-powered vehicle to diesel and eventually using biodiesel blended fuels.
