Contract for trucks

The contract to supply two crew cab single axle trucks was recently awarded by Caledon council to Freightliner MidOntario Inc. for $118,900.

The trucks will be used by public works and parks staff for the maintenance of roads and parks.

The purchase of this diesel equipment will allow the Town to work towards reducing its greenhouse gas emissions reduction target both by switching from gasoline-powered one ton trucks and eventually switching these new diesel powered vehicles to a bio-diesel blended alternative fuel.
