A September to remember at seniors' centre

What beautiful memories, our September Song gives us. Many happy, joyous summer days with friends and family and Centre happenings.

Our August monthly dinner was a Swiss Chalet chicken breast gastronomic delight and our entertainment was a joy. The Bolton United Church Players presented "Broadway and Beyond." A musical extravaganza to suit all tastes. Meg Wilkinson producer and Andrew Dunn, director and MC and a joyous cast of young people deserved the standing ovation and thank you they were given. Talent abounds in Bolton. A night to remember.

With eager anticipation we look forward to a wonderful fall and a grand summer harvest. A grand centre harvest of good times awaits.

A new centre president and executive who promise each of us a CSC@12 bigger and better with treats for all tastes. Corn on the cob, pumpkin pies, and countless tasty preserves will adorn our bountiful tables and feasts. Marg Patterson and her kitchen volunteers will make it so. Members all we are surrounded by bounty at our seniors' centre. Share in it.

Sunday, Sept. 24 attend our annual member's meeting at 2 p.m. at the centre. Your voice and vote count. Plan to attend this important CSC@12 meeting. Help us help you! Be a Caledon seniors' centre booster!

Tuesday, Sept. 26, monthly dinner & entertainment. Chef Henri's "Hip of Beef. Stellar entertainment. Bernie Black, pianist, and Monica Smith our V.P. of song will present "Songs you love to sing!" From Lauder and Cohan to Vera Lynne, Gracie to Der Bingle, Louie, Elvis et al. Enjoy a great dinner and sing it off with your favourites.

Wednesday, Sept. 27, noon monthly pot luck lunch. Feed the pot or pay the kitty. New recipes welcome. The more the merrier.

Thursday, Sept. 28, Karen Moniz, former Astaire & Arthur Murray studio teacher, presents Ballroom Dancing for You! The waltz to merenge will make your toes and you twinkle. Eight sessions at 1 p.m. Members $48, non, $64. Paid week 1. Registrations now being taken. Register now.

October 5, fall colour boat cruise from Gravenhurst on the Wenonah II. Includes luxury coach and luncheon cruise. Coach leaves the centre at 9:15 a.m., returns at 5 p.m. $70/person.

Saturday, Oct. 14, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. our 11th annual fall bake, craft, garage and treasures sale and silent auction. Home baking and craft donations welcome. Crafters & sellers wanted. Tables $20, car boot spaces available. Call the office, 905-951-6114 and book your space. Canadian Bacon sandwiches and tea room treats all day. Children love us and the clowns, too!

October 19, trip to Casino Rama. Luxury coach leaves the centre at 9 a.m.,
