Vehicles entered, stolen in Bolton Caledon officers and Caledon OPP Crime Unit detectives are investigating reports from residents of Bolton who awoke to find their vehicles missing from their driveways as well as reports of other vehicles in the area that had been entered during the night hours. The officers have linked together several incidents of theft of vehicles and theft from vehicles that occurred sometime during the early morning hours Thursday, Sept. 7. Two vehicles parked in driveways on Strawberry Hill Court and one parked at an Esposito Drive were stolen. Several vehicles parked in driveways in the area of Strawberry Hill Court, Blueberry Hill Court, Esposito Drive, Sant Farm Drive and surrounding streets were entered. Vehicle owners have reported items taken from the vehicles consisting of wallets and cash. Some of the vehicles had been locked and some left unlocked. To help protect your vehicle from this type of property crime, police recommend that if a parking spot is available in a garage, then use that space over leaving it in the driveway. If the vehicle is parked in the driveway, always make sure it is locked and remove any valuables. Any suspicious activity observed in your neighbourhood should be reported to police the 24-hour OPP dispatch number is 1-800-310-1122. However, a crime in progress should be reported to 911. |
