Swim school

The Dorado Stars Swim School is a developmental program designed for children between the ages of 6 and 10 who have completed a minimum level 6 Aqua-quest and can swim one length of the pool (25 metres of continuous stroke). The program exposes young swimmers to competitive swimming strokes, technique and skill. From a technical standpoint the goal of the Swim School is to set the foundation from which effortless and efficient strokes are built.

The Swim School operates in three 10-week sessions. The fall session runs from October to December, the winter session from January to March, and the spring session from April to June. Each session ends with a small friendly swim meet where athletes can showcase their skills. This team event takes place at the Mayfield Recreation Complex Pool.

The training schedule is: for Group A Monday and Friday at 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.; Group B Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.; Group C Monday and Wednesday at 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.; Group D Wednesday and Friday at 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Limited spaces are available.
