9-1-1 Appreciation Day 2006 aids Tema

The first people to arrive on the scene, emergency services personnel witness traumatic events with every shift. Yet they continue to perform their essential duty of saving lives often in the face of unspeakable tragedy. So unspeakable, in fact, that many of these heroic individuals struggle quietly with the physical, psychological and emotional effects of their jobs.

Support your emergency services personnel by attending a Toronto Blue Jays game.

Friday, Sept. 15, come out and see the Toronto Blue Jays play the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Aportion of ticket sales will be donated to the Tema Conter Memorial Trust. Game Time is 7:07 p.m.

Receive a 40% discount on your ticket purchases: field level bases are $22 per ticket and 100 Level Outfield tickets are $14.

Don't miss out on this exclusive offer.

To purchase your tickets visit bluejays.com/specialevents and enter event code GP-911 or contact Travis Baxter of the Toronto Blue Jays at 416-341-1564.

The Tema Conter Memorial Trust was established to end the silence and ease the suffering. The charity was founded by Caledon's Vince Savoia, an attending paramedic at the murder scene of Tema Conter in 1988. Upon coping with post-traumatic stress as a result of this horrible episode, Savoia created the Tema Conter Memorial Trust.

The trust's purpose is two-fold: to honour the memory of Ms. Tema Conter and call attention to the acute trauma encountered by emergency services workers. These courageous and compassionate individuals are haunted by the scenes they encounter on a regular basis, and they need our help.
