SUCCESSFUL SHOWING
There were only three 4-H members representing Peel Region at the West-Central Junior Show, held August 23

at the Grand River Raceway in Elora, but the Caledon trio did the county proud. Shown, 11-year old Erin

Feheley, of Caledon, poses proudly with her 4-H calf after Aland Juno Amy, owned by Alan and Julie

Cunnington, of Inglewood, was chosen Champion Senior Calf. Fellow teammate, Julia Thompson placed

second in her heat of the junior showmanship competition and was selected to return for the championship

class. Her older brother, James, placed second with his 4H project calf, Woodfield Ruben Tonya, owned by Bill

Woodill, also of Caledon, in the Intermediate Calf class and also returned for the championship calf class. All

three are members of the Brampton Junior Dairy Club and this marked the first time that Peel has had any

participation in the junior show, which brought 128 participants to the show ring from the counties of Brant,

Wellington, Haldimand, Dufferin, Niagara, Grey, Wentworth and Waterloo.
