90TH BIRTHDAY WISHES
The 90th birthday celebration for Margaret Lewis was held Aug. 24 and 25, but her
birthday isn't until Sept. 5. The celebration was like a garden party on the lawn at
her residence with a tent and tables for sandwiches, drinks and treats and a
display of 10 photo albums. Some people found their own photos which Margaret
had taken at community events. Margaret enjoyed lots of wonderful memories with
friends and neighbours and even customers that had visited the Mono Road
General Store that Margaret had operated for 38 years. Margaret has been in
retirement since 1981. She received greetings from Prime Minister, Stephen
Harper, Premier, Dalton McGuinty, James K. Bartleman, the Lieutenant Governor
of Ontario, David Tilson, MP, and John Tory, MPP. Also special greetings from
Rev. Jennifer Palin and the Caledon East United Church women and the Mono
Road Women's Institute. Special congratulations came from Mayor Marolyn
Morrison (left) and Shirley Grice (right).
