Peel's Labour Day holiday schedule

Region of Peel offices and non-emergency services will be closed for the Labour Day holiday Monday, Sept. 4. Peel headquarters and most offices will re-open for regular business Tuesday, Sept. 5.

There will be no waste collection in the cities of Brampton and Mississauga on Labour Day. Garbage, recycling material and yard waste, in scheduled yard waste collection areas, will be collected one day later during that week.

There is no change to the waste collection schedule for residents in the Town of Caledon.

All Community Recycling Centres and the Caledon Public Waste and Recycling Depot will be closed Monday, Sept. 4 and will re-open Tuesday, Sept. 5.

The Peel Heritage Complex will be closed Sunday, Sept. 3 and Monday, Sept. 4.

Peel Public Health will be open for dead crow and blue jay reporting Monday, Sept. 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For all other business, call Peel Public Health during the regular business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

All Healthy Sexuality Clinics will be closed Monday, Sept. 4 and will resume regular hours of operation on Tuesday, Sept. 5. The Bolton clinic will operate Tuesday, Sept. 5 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and will resume regular hours of operation Monday, Sept. 11.

All services offered at Bolton and Brampton Breastfeeding Clinics and Peel Public Health Clinic - Meadowvale will be closed Monday, Sept. 4. The Brampton Breastfeeding Clinic has relocated to 150 Central Park Drive and will be open Saturday, Sept. 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 3 from noon to 4 p.m.

Peel Access to Housing, Peel Living and Rent Supplement offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 4, reopening Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 8:30 a.m.

TransHelp taxi providers will operate on a holiday schedule from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4; however, the office will be closed.

Ontario Works in Peel will be closed Monday, Sept. 4, re-opening Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 8:30 a.m.
