Caledon skater leads team to undefeated season

Bolton's Brayden Libawski, third-highest scorer in the league, put on a four-goal performance in the final regular season game of the 3-on-3 minor bantam division at the Canlands Etobicoke hockey league.

With his final performance, Team Blue 61 capped off a near-perfect season and vaulted into the playoffs.

Only one tie all summer tarnished an incredible team performance, highlighted by a shutout mid-season, which is unheard of in this type of hockey. Anyone who has had the pleasure of summer hockey will tell you that the fast-paced, free-form action the kids display, and the parents and spectators get to view, is an exciting and fulfilling experience.

Directed by coaches Tony Luciani and Derrik Libawski, along with trainer Paul Phenix, the rag tag team A of AA players that never played together before, ensured a berth in the finals to be held Aug. 22, by continuing their winning streak through the playoffs.

The best goals against average, and potent offence made a very difficult obstacle for opposing teams all season, and is sure to provide a challenge in the finals.
