Lyons named to committee

At the request of Credit Valley Conservation, Councillor David Lyons has been appointed to the greenlands securement committee for the duration of the term of council.

CVC is one of several conservation authorities working to establish a provincial and municipal partnership for conservation and management of local natural resources within the watersheds of each jurisdiction.

The greenlands securement committee is a component of the $1 million conservation land securement capital project, which will be used to fund land acquisition requests from conservation authorities and/or partners that maintain and enhance the ecological quality and integrity of the greenlands system in Peel region.
