PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING

PURPOSE: On January 10, 2006 the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Caledon adopted By-law 2006-02, to amend comprehensive Zoning By-law 87-250, as amended, for the Town of Caledon in order to change the zoning on Part of Lot 27, Concession 1 WHS, formerly in the Township of Chinguacousy, now in the Town of Caledon to permit the subject property to be used for a dry industrial and highway commercial plan of subdivision. An administrative error in By-law 2006-02 resulted in the inclusion of a maximum building area of 10% in the MU-9 Zone and MU-E(196) Zone, whereas the intended maximum building area is 15%. The purpose of this proposed by-law amendment is to include a maximum building area of 15% for the Unserviced Industrial Special 9(MU9) Zone and the Unserviced Industrial Exception (196)(MU-E(196)) Zone. If a person or public body that files a notice of appeal of a decision of the Town of Caledon in respect to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Caledon before the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is approved or refused, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal. If you wish to be notified of the adoption of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, you must make a written request to the Town of Caledon, Planning and Development Department, 6311 Old Church Road, Caledon, Ontario L7C 1J6. A copy of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment will be available to the public for inspection 20 days prior to the meeting at the Planning Department, Town of Caledon Town Hall, 6311 Old Church Road, Caledon East, Ontario.
