Final four set in Inglewood ball hockey

The final four are set as round robin play ends in IBHL action.

The final night of round robin action in the IBHL had three teams neck and neck for the final two spots of the semifinals. With a no show for one of the vying teams and the other two battling each other, it was anyone's guess as to who would snag the final two spots at the start of the night.

CEAV defeated Mr. Handyman who had to forfeit.

Carney Plumbing 2,

LH Law 0

Carney and LH Law got off to a slow start as they were feeling each other out as each of them were vulnerable to the CEAV steal of 5 points with the forfeit win. The second frame saw Brennan Grange bang in the ball from Derek Lockerbie and Glen Priseman.

In the 3rd, Mike Zimmerman won the draw as Brian Dunn was planted in front of the keeper and Bob McHardy snapped home the back breaking goal. With the win, backstopped by Derek Carroll, Carney secured third spot and eliminated LH Law from the running and gave CEAV fourth.

Colony Ford 7,

Almag Aluminum 3

In a game for pride Colony showed they still have the stuff, even though Almag gave them a good run in the 3rd.

Scoring for Colony were Dennis Cabral, Junior Gillard, Robin Anderson, Carlo Triolo, and Boyd Andrews. Assists went to Nelson Amaral, Cabral, Anderson, Karl Benstead, Matt Janiec, Triolo and Andrews.

Almag net nabbers were Jason Cullihall with a pair and a helper, Kristen Hann with a single and a pair of assists with Paul Medeiros and Gord King each adding a helper.

Blue Team 7,

Sports Unlimited 1

In a battle for 1st Blue showed no sign of slowing with a decisive win over Sports.

Scoring for Blue were matt Speirs, John Uren, Ian Wilkinson, Matt Wilkinson, Shaun Heron, and Geoff Christie. Assists went to Corey Heron, Todd Elson, Matt & Owen Speirs, Matt & Ian Wilkinson, and Christie. Sports' lone lamp light was Tyler Woodison from Steve Smith and Tony Sousa.

The Final four are 1st - Blue Team; 2nd - Sports Unlimited; 3rd - Carney Plumbing and 4th - Caledon East Audio Video.
