Jobs Caledon offers workshops to enhance skills Jobs Caledon is finding Caledon residents aren't just looking for employment during the day, they're looking for resources to enhance their skills during the evening as well. In order to meet this growing trend Jobs Caledon is offering the free Keys to Employment Workshops series on Monday evenings beginning with The Journey Begins, Goal Setting Sept. 18 and Developing Positive Attitude Sept. 25. The series is designed to empower participants with simple yet effective tools to better manage the challenges of daily life. "I've had people hanging on by a thread in their current place of employment. When they have competed the series they don't leave their jobs because they are better equipped with the skills to professionally deal with issues in their job place," said Heidi Phillips, workshop facilitator. Other topics include Personality Dimensions, Assertiveness, Anger and Conflict Management. All workshops begin at 6:30 and run to 9 p.m. at 18 King St. E. Bolton. Call 905-9512300 to register early as space is limited to 15 participants. Jobs Caledon is located in Caledon Community Services at 18 King St. East, in Bolton, and Caledon East, Tuesday afternoons beside the fire hall and Inglewood, Highway 10 Claude Church Wednesday afternoons. Jobs Caledon is a project funded by the Government of Canada. Check www.caledoncommunityservices. org for more details.
